Düsseldorf - the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia - is an equally attractive destination for business people, fashion followers, revellers or culture fans.
The city does its best to meet the accomodation needs of these different visitors.
With over 22,800 beds of all categories in almost 230 hotels, Düsseldorf´s array of rooms is richly varied and ranges from youth hostels and cozy, centrally located bed and breakfasts to luxury suites in five-star hotels.
The number of visitors is rising every year, so there´s no end in sight to Düsseldorf´s hotel building boom.
At the airport, the Dutch chain Van der Valk has opened a new hotel while the Medienhafen will be home at the end of 2010 to an ultra-modern five-star Hyatt Regency hotel in one of the two towers on the breakwater at the harbor entrance.

More and more smaller hotels are focusing on individuality to set them apart from the mass offerings, such as the modern boutique hotel Stage 47, which incorporates its location next to the Savoytheater as part of its concept, or the Hotel Orangerie in the heart of the Altstadt (old city), which outshines rivals through its personal service and friendly atmosphere.
You can enjoy a special overnight stay with an undisguised view of the Rhine aboard one of the many hotel ships.

If you prefer to prepare your own meals and plan a longer stay without spending a fortune, you could consider setting up home in an aparment hotel.
You can move straight into a fully furnished and equipped apartment, including kitchen, Internet access and separate office, without bringing your own furniture truck.
The price per night is usually significantly reduced if you stay for a minimum of four weeks.
